- The .32 Remington is a centerfire rifle cartridge that was introduced by Remington Arms in 1906. It was designed as a hunting cartridge for use in lever-action rifles and was intended primarily for small to medium-sized game.
The .32 Remington cartridge typically fires a 170-grain bullet at a muzzle velocity of around 2,200 feet per second. It was designed to provide good accuracy and moderate recoil, making it suitable for use by hunters of all skill levels.
The .32 Remington cartridge enjoyed some popularity in the early 20th century, but was eventually largely replaced by more powerful cartridges such as the .30-30 Winchester. Nonetheless, it remains in production and is still used by some hunters and shooters today, particularly those who appreciate its moderate recoil and low report. It is suitable for hunting small to medium-sized game such as deer and antelope at short to medium ranges.
