- The .375 CheyTac is a specialized long-range rifle cartridge developed by CheyTac LLC, an American firearms company, in the early 2000s. It is based on the .408 CheyTac cartridge, and uses a necked-down case to accept .375-inch diameter bullets.
The .375 CheyTac cartridge is designed for extreme long-range shooting and is capable of delivering consistent accuracy and ballistic performance at distances of up to 2,500 meters. It offers very high velocity and energy, with a typical muzzle velocity of around 3,000 feet per second and muzzle energy of over 10,000 foot-pounds.
The .375 CheyTac cartridge is primarily used by military and law enforcement snipers, as well as by long-range shooting enthusiasts and competitors. It is not as widely available as some other rifle cartridges, and is typically used in custom-built rifles designed specifically for this cartridge. It is important to note that the use of such firearms and cartridges may be subject to legal restrictions in some countries.Technical specifications of caliber .375 CheyTAC, popular powders, suitable bullets and comprehensive load data for this caliber: When aggregating the ballistic performance of 90 suitable bullets for this caliber, you get an average powder charge of 132.1gr | 8.56g , an average muzzle velocity (V0) of 2765fps | 843m/s , and an average muzzle energy (E0) of 6920 Joule.
