  • The .416 Barrett is a large caliber rifle cartridge developed in the early 2000s by Barrett Firearms Manufacturing. It was designed to be an extremely powerful round, capable of taking down large game and is commonly used for hunting applications.

The .416 Barrett has low recoil, high muzzle velocity and accuracy over long distances. Its thick case walls allow it to handle heavy charges when reloading which makes it suitable for long-range shooting. Additionally, its high bullet weight and flat trajectory provide excellent penetration capabilities against thick hides and boned structures.
