  • The .44 Auto Mag was developed in the late 1960s by William B. Ruger and is one of the most powerful handgun cartridges ever made. It was designed to compete with the .44 Remington Magnum as a larger-caliber, high-pressure handgun cartridge.

    The .44 Auto Mag has seen use in many applications, from hunting and target shooting to law enforcement and self-defense. It is capable of taking down large game such as wild boar and even bear, but it can be difficult to handle for inexperienced shooters due to its heavy recoil and loud report.
