  • The .510 DTC Europ is a proprietary cartridge developed by the European company Sako in the early 2000s. It is based on the .416 Rigby cartridge case and uses a .510-inch diameter bullet. The cartridge has a case length of 2.5 inches, which is shorter than the case length of the .510 DTC.

The .510 DTC Europ was developed for use in hunting large and dangerous game, particularly in Africa. It is capable of producing high muzzle energy and velocity, making it effective against animals such as elephants and buffalo. However, due to its power, the cartridge also produces significant recoil, which can be challenging to manage for some shooters.

The .510 DTC Europ is not a standardized cartridge and is only available from a few specialty manufacturers. It is typically used in bolt-action rifles and is not as widely available as more common cartridges.
