- The 11mm M73 French Revolver is a rimmed, double-action revolver designed in 1873 by French arms manufacturer Leclerc for military use. It has an overall length of 11 mm and a bullet weight of 16.3 grams, making it one of the most powerful handgun rounds available today. The M73 was eventually replaced by the 9mm Mle 1892 cartridge due to its greater reliability and accuracy.
Today, the 11mm M73 is still widely used in Europe for hunting and self-defense purposes. Its impressive power allows it to take down large game animals such as deer with ease, while its relatively low recoil makes it manageable even in smaller frames.
