  • The 6mm GT (Grendel Type) is a relatively new cartridge designed for long-range shooting and competition. It was created by George Gardner and Tom Jacobs in 2019 as a modification of the 6mm Grendel cartridge. The 6mm GT has a slightly shorter case length than the 6mm Grendel, which allows for more powder capacity and higher velocities. The 6mm GT cartridge typically fires a bullet in the 105-110 grain range at speeds around 2900-3000 feet per second. It has become popular in precision rifle competitions due to its high accuracy and low recoil, making it easier for shooters to stay on target for longer periods of time.
