- The 6.5mm Lahoz is a rifle cartridge designed by Spanish firearms manufacturer Lahoz in the late 1960s for use in sporting rifles. This round was designed to offer comparable performance to other rounds such as the .308 Winchester with less recoil and cost.
The 6.5mm Lahoz is an excellent choice for those looking for an affordable, low-recoil round suitable both hunting and target shooting applications due to its efficient design and impressive ballistics including velocities up to 2,900 fps at moderate pressures. It has seen limited popularity compared to its contemporaries due to its relatively recent introduction, however it can still be found if you look hard enough.
