  • The 7 x 72 R is a popular sporting cartridge that was developed in the late 19th century. It is based on the 8mm Lebel round, but has a slightly larger diameter. The 7x72R offers excellent ballistics, with a muzzle velocity of 2,800 fps and an energy of 2,600 ft-lbs.

    This caliber is suitable for medium game such as deer and wild boar as it delivers good penetration at distances up to 150 yards.
