  • The 9 mm FAR is a rimless centerfire cartridge designed by Fiodorov Arms Research (FAR) in the early 2000s. It is based on the 9x18mm Makarov cartridge, with a reduced bullet diameter of .363” (9.25mm) and uses a bottlenecked case for improved performance.

This caliber is known for its impressive power, with an estimated muzzle velocity of 1,306–1,409 fps depending on bullet weight and RZR (Recommended Zero Range) of 89 yards (80 m). It's also known for its accuracy, making it ideal for self-defense or target shooting at short distances.
