There is a challenge with the available data for Alliant pro Varmint. We have inconsistant information regarding the density and bulk density of this powder. Does anyone have reference values? I.e. see load data here: https://www.alliantpowder.com/reloaders/powderlist.aspx?type=1&powderid=30&cartridge=46 . Alliant is posting 27.9 grains for the .223 with Hornady 40gr A-Max. Based on our data, this amount does by far not fit into the case with the given COL assuming a standard Case Capacity.
So gain - does anyone by chance have the density or bulk density of Alliant Varmint Pro ... we are trying in parallel to get some of the powder to measure ourselves and do some tests to validate hte powder model.
