I have shot a 264 Win Mag for 30 yrs. When I looked at the data for the 120gr Hornady CX I noticed that the powders and muzzle velocity were way different than anything I’ve loaded and chrono’d. After checking with several other sources I think the data here on XXL must have been downloaded wrong. With max velocities of 2600 fps here compared with my experience and other sources of 3000 fps plus is just too much of a discrepancy. Thoughts??

They don’t specify case volume. Case volume difference between various brass manufacturers could certainly equate to a difference of 100fps -150fps. A difference of 500fps-600fps even over a range of powders loaded at max is too big of a difference. There is a data problem somewhere. I haven’t found this much of a spread in any other data when comparing sources.
I’m specifically referring to the Hornady 120 gr CX. The load data is just off.
is there any specific bullet & powder combination where you can compare XXL data with any other source? I did a quick check and looked here: https://www.nosler.com/264-winchester-magnum. IMR4350 62.5 gr lead to 3494 fps. Compared to XXL: https://www.xxlreloading.com/load-data/.264-win.-mag./.264-%7C-100gr-%7C-nosler-ballistic-tip and see 3326. It is 160 fps or appr. 5% slower. such a deviation works for me - measure myself anyhow and usually work my way up while I always go for highest accuracy and not highest velocity.
