ADI Load Data

Australian Munitions (ADI), a division of Thales Australia, is a leading provider of military-grade munitions and explosives, playing a pivotal role in the defense sector. With a rich heritage spanning over a century, ADI has established itself as a cornerstone in the production and supply of high-quality propellants and explosives. One of the standout offerings from Australian Munitions is its comprehensive powder range, which encompasses various types of powders designed for different applications, from small arms to large-caliber ammunition. The ADI powder range is renowned for its consistency, performance, and innovation. Among the various products, the range includes single-base, double-base, and triple-base powders, each tailored to meet specific operational requirements. Single-base powders, primarily composed of nitrocellulose, are known for their stability and uniform energy output, making them ideal for a wide array of small arms ammunition. Double-base powders, which include both nitrocellulose and nitroglycerin, offer enhanced energy and performance, suitable for medium to large-caliber ammunition. Triple-base powders, incorporating nitroguanidine, are designed to reduce flash and improve overall ballistic performance, making them optimal for modern military applications. Australian Munitions prides itself on stringent quality control and advanced manufacturing processes, ensuring that each batch of powder meets the highest standards of reliability and safety. Their state-of-the-art facilities are equipped with the latest technology, allowing for precise formulation and testing, which is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the ammunition. Furthermore, ADI’s commitment to research and development ensures continuous improvement and adaptation to emerging defense needs. In addition to their technical excellence, ADI powders are also environmentally conscious, with efforts made to minimize environmental impact through sustainable practices in their production processes. This commitment to sustainability, combined with their technical expertise, positions Australian Munitions as a key player in the global defense industry, providing critical support to armed forces both in Australia and internationally. Their powder range stands as a testament to their dedication to innovation, quality, and performance in the field of munitions.

ADI AP 100

ADI AP 100

An effective single base slow burning rate handgun powder suitable for major power factor loads in .38 super and similar cartridges.
ADI AR 2205

ADI AR 2205

A very fine grained, very fast burning rifle powder suited to .22 Hornet loads but also useful in some Magnum pistol loads. Its burning rate is close to that of IMR 4227.
ADI AR 2207

ADI AR 2207

A very useful fine grained fast burning rifle powder for cartridges such as the .222 Remington and 7.62mm x 39 Russian. Its burning rate is close to that of IMR 4198 although it meters significantly better through standard powder loaders.
ADI AR 2219

ADI AR 2219

This new ADI propellant was originally developed for the Australian Defence Force for use in 5.56mm weapons. The burning rate for AR2219 lies between Bench Mark 1 and Bench Mark 2. This propellant offers excellent accuracy, repeatability and reliability in small and medium capacity cartridges.
ADI AR 2206H

ADI AR 2206H

Propellant AR2206H is finally set to replace AR2206 on the Australian & New Zealand reloading market. AR2206H is an improved variation of AR2206, and is designed to optimise heavy projectile performance where it increases projectile velocity while at the same time reduces chamber pressures. It is suitable for use in a similar range of calibres and powder loads as AR2206. AR2206H was released into the North American market in 1999, and is distributed by the Hodgdon Powder Co. under the brand name H4895. This powder has proven to be extremely popular in the USA due to its superior loading consistency and its unrivalled performance stability in severe temperature variations. Distribution to such a demanding and variable market also means that ADI can offer more reloading data to cover your favourite calibre-projectile combinations. Australian handloaders can now experience the many benefits of reloading with AR2206H.
ADI AR 2208

ADI AR 2208

A useful fine grained medium/slow burning rifle powder for medium sized cartridges such as .308 Winchester and 25-06 Remington. It's burning rate is close to that of IMR 4064 but its bulk density is higher.
ADI AR 2209

ADI AR 2209

A useful fine grained, moderately slow burning rifle powder for cartridges such as 22-250 Remington, .243 Winchester, .270 Winchester, 30-06 Springfield and 300 Winchester Magnum. It's burning rate is close to that of IMR 4350 but its bulk density is a little higher and its metering through a powder loader is better.
ADI AR 2213

ADI AR 2213

A slow burning rate rifle powder for cartridges such as .270 Winchester and 300 Winchester Magnum. AR2213SC replaced AR2213 in the Australian reloading market.
